MOVIE REVIEW: 'One Step'

One Step is a South Korean musical-drama film inspired by the success of American film, Begin Again. The said movie is directed by Juhn Jai-hong and starring Sandara Park, Han Jae-suk, Cho Dong-in and Hong Ah-reum.

It's about a girl (Sandara Park) who lost her memory because of a hit and run accident. After the incident, she's been seeing sounds in colors (called synesthesia - the colored hearing syndrome) that's why she doesn't listen to any music because every time she hears any music or sounds, it's make her faint. But one day, there's a music in her head that she doesn't know where she hears it. She tried to search it by seeking for help from the Sherlock Music Detective or what we called internet broadcasting producer (Han Jae-suk).

It's a nice movie actually. Good movie to watch if you're sick in watching an intense film or if you just want to relax yourself because it gives you a relaxation feel when watching it. I remember this musical film, 'August Rush' while watching it. It gives me same feeling when it comes to music. They also have same family story but the only difference is that the lead child actor in August Rush is being adopted since he was born without her mother knowing that's why he's being separated with his family. While the lead actress in One Step lost her memory from the accident that's why she doesn't know whose her family. But I'm not satisfied with the ending of One Step. It's an open-ending actually. It does not have exact ending. You're the one who will think what will be its ending. I'm just shock that it ends like that. But you just watch it. Maybe we have different reaction or views to that movie.
