ANILAG FESTIVAL ('Ani ng Laguna' or 'Harvest of Laguna') is a provincial festival of the whole province of Laguna (Mother of all festivals in Laguna).
According to Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez, Anilag Festival was started during the administration of Gov. Joey Lina, and it still continued even under of a different governor for the past years.
And this year, Anilag Festival celebrated last March 10-17 with the theme of "Sama-sama ang Pamilya sa Masayang Laguna" (United Families in a Happy Laguna).
It's my first time that I went to Anilag Festival and I must say that it's a fun and exciting experience even though it's so tiring because we keep on walking.
There are so many events that happens like, Trade fair competition, Land float parade, Street dancing, Fashion competition, Crafts and Motor show, Activities catering to senior citizens, LGBT Community, Annual competition for the Binibini at Ginoong Laguna that showcasing the beauty and talents of the people in Laguna.
We went there last March 11 and their event that day is all about LGBT Community. We enjoyed their parade especially their different types of garments they wear.
There are also different booths of different provinces of Laguna.
There's also a funfair or what we called it in tagalog, "Perya". It's a unique place where there is an Amusement Rides like what we see in a known amusement park, Carnival Games, and shows.
