I.O.I Reportedly Will Reunite For Live Broadcast To Celebrate Their 5th Anniversary!

 

I.O.I reportedly will reunite with 11 members in a live broadcast for the celebration of their 5 year anniversary.

On April 13, according to an exclusive media outlet report that I.O.I members recently met up for a private meeting in preparations for the groups anniversary on May 4.

Insider said, "IOI will be reuniting for their 5th anniversary. On their debut date, May 4, the girls plan to hold a live broadcast with fans".

But according to industry representatives, nine out of eleven of the members will be available to attend and the other two will not as Kyulkyung is currently in China and Kang Mina is filming for her upcoming drama. However, they are working on potentially participating in other ways such as via video calls.

IOI is a project group in 2016 formed from Mnet survival program 'Produce 101' season 1, consisting of Somi, Kim Sejeong, Weki Meki’s Choi Yoojung and Kim Doyeon, Chungha, Kim So Hye, Kyulkyung, DIA’s Jung Chaeyeon, Kang Mina, Lim Nayoung, and WJSN’s Yeonjung, and they debuted on May 4, 2016 and disbanded in January 2017.

Back in October 2016, IOI members made a promise to fans as they wrapped up their project group promotions, "We all promised to have a reunion in whatever form possible in 5 years". Although their plans for a comeback in 2019 eventually fell through, the members will still fulfill their promise with fans through the upcoming broadcast.
