SEVENTEEN's Woozi clarifies regarding the controversial BBC article that claiming the usage of AI in SEVENTEEN's songs.
Previously, Woozi shared at a press conference that he practiced experimenting with AI in order to understand its strengths and disadvantages as well as to find ways to walk alongside the developing technology while maintaining their identity.
"Of course I’ve tried and practiced writing songs and producing using AI. Rather than complaining about advancements in new technology, I feel (I/artists) need to advance along with it. I’ve tried to look for negatives and positives of using AI. I think I’m always thinking of ways to keep our unique identity in the face of fast-changing technology." —Woozi
And on 11th July, a foreign news outlet 'BBC' reported that there was a possibility that SEVENTEEN as well as many famous artists used AI in their music.
In response to the report, Woozi addressed the controversy directly to his Instagram Stories to clarify,
“All of SEVENTEEN’s music is written and composed by human creators.”
A source from PLEDIS Entertainment stated,
“It is not true that AI was used for lyrics of SEVENTEEN’s songs,”
sharing that they conveyed their request to correct the information that was written in the relevant article, which has since been edited.
